Our creative, committed and highly skilled clinical educators will assist students to develop strong therapeutic skills so they may launch their art therapy careers as ethical, culturally responsive, community-involved professionals

CULTURAL IMMERSION ART THERAPY PROGRAM Requirements Bachelors or Masters degree from an accredited university (Humanities preferred) University Transcripts 3 letters of recommendation Art experience (a portfolio of work is required for application process) Psychology Courses: Abnormal, Developmental, Personality (these courses are prerequisites –please discuss if you have completed similar courses or are in the process of studying) Supervised practicum experience (to be completed in students’ own country) Post BA students complete a thesis or final project during the program English language proficiency reading & writing). Proficiency will be assessed during an interview

CULTURAL IMMERSION ART THERAPY PROGRAM Training Options The Clinical Art Therapy Programs typically take students two years to complete. Part- time students may take three or four years to complete their training, depending on the pace they choose. Graduates of CiiAT programs are able to become Professional and Registered members of CATA. The Cultural Immersion Art Therapy Program offers an integrated combination of distant online training and campus- based residency. Options include: Option Japan: One intensive period of study on campus in Tokyo for 3-4 weeks with remaining coursework completed online. Option Thailand: One intensive period of study on campus in Bangkok for 4-5 weeks with remaining coursework completed online. Option Mixed: Two intensive periods of study in either or both Tokyo and Bangkok with remaining coursework delivered online. Practicum in all Options is completed where you choose- in your home country or internationally, depending on your interest, schedule, and language proficiency. For example, it is important that you fluently speak the language of the clients you would like to work with.

CULTURAL IMMERSION ART THERAPY PROGRAM Calendar Cultural Immersion Art Therapy Program may be scheduled to suit your work and family needs. In consultation with Directors, we will collaboratively design your calendar. Thailand Option Intensives occur each November, February and July for 4 days per week for 4 weeks. Japan Option Intensives occur each spring, summer, and early fall but vary slightly from year-to-year. Each intensive is approximately 16 days over the course of a three week period. They are typically scheduled during Japanese national holiday times. Please contact us for exact 2016, 2017 and 2018 dates.

CULTURAL IMMERSION ART THERAPY PROGRAM Fees Registration fee is $150. This fee is due upon signing the initial contract of acceptance. Tuition Fees are $7800.00 per academic intensive module. There are three academic intensive modules followed by practicum and supervision. An initial deposit of $2800 is due one month before the first intensive period. The remaining fees are paid in three installments of $6866.00 The cost for the entire program is $23,400.00. Students are responsible for their own textbooks and travel/accommodation costs. Tuition fees are tax deductible, depending on your country of residency. Refund Policy: Fees will be refunded in accordance with the Private Post-Secondary Education Act, General Directives, as written in the Student Handbook.

CULTURAL IMMERSION ART THERAPY PROGRAM Application Form Please complete this form: Admission Form. It will be submitted automatically. You may also print it out and return a completed version via email (scan or JPEG photo).Admission Form. Submit the items noted in the checklist as described. Your application will be reviewed and you will be notified regarding the status of your application within 3 weeks of submission date. A select group of applicants will then be contacted and invited to an interview by the Program Directors. $150.00 registration fee will be due upon acceptance. The registration fee will be deducted from tuition cost for accepted and enrolled applicants.
