2.  On April 19, 1775 in the town of Lexington Mass, the first battle of the revolution in America.  That very same day in Concord, the British soldiers went to burn all the American supplies and weapons, but were unpleasantly surprised by the fact that it was no where to be found.  The Bridge between Lexington and Concord was the main objective for both sides, Control the Bridge, Control the Battle.  Casualties from the American side consists of 95 men  Casualties on the British side totaled 273  Making the Americans the winners of the day

3.  The battle of Lexington:  April 19, 1775  The British forces a column of about 700 men under the command of Colonel Frances Smith  John Parker was the American commander of the minute men and militia in Lexington.  In Lexington and Concord Massachusetts  The British forces were informed of a revolt by the Americans  The commander of the British forces in America, Thomas Gage sent 700 men to disarm the weaponry in Concord, Lexington just happened to be in the way.

4.  When the British forces arrived in Lexington, two different stories were created about what had happened.  The two commanders on the Yanks side told two different tails, Parker’s tale says that the minute men and militia were in the underbrush while the British commander said they stood in a line formation waiting for the redcoats.  The temperature was between 55 and 65 degrees with calm winds  The minutes before the battle were calm.  Finally a single shot rang out, its considered to be the “shot that was heard “round the world”

5.  On April 19, 1775 Samuel Prescott rode to Concord to inform colenol James Barrett of the on coming forces.  The brits enter concord to find no men at all, just women and children.  They search the town for supplys and weapons, and find nothing.  They come to see that over six thousand militia men have surrounded the town on near by ridges and hills.
