DriveCam ® Pilot Program What is Drive Cam? Digital Recorder that is mounted to the windshield of a vehicle Saves digital recording only when triggered by G- Forces such as sudden stops, starts, or impacts Saves 10 seconds before and 10 seconds after incident Provides split view of the driver and from the front of the vehicle

DriveCam ® Pilot Program What DriveCam is not? It does not allow remote activation to “spy” It does not allow constant monitoring of a persons actions

Summary and Recommendations Coaching of Drivers significantly improved their driving performance and enhances employee safety Ability to see actual footage of any accidents is invaluable in defending County from claims ACE, Inc. conducted an independent study showing a 22% reduction in fleet maintenance/repairs

Approve Amendment to Proposed Administrative Regulation 2.12.04(I)(A) It is the policy of the Orange County Board of Commissioners (BCC) that every effort will be made to prevent employee involvement in motor vehicle accidents. Employees shall comply with all safety laws and regulations which apply to motor vehicles in the State of Florida and with the Orange County Safety and Health Manual. The BCC reserves the right to place electronic devices designed to record the operation and location of BCC vehicles. Employees who violate motor vehicle safety laws and regulations are subject to disciplinary action and possible termination. Summary and Recommendations
