1666 1666 -The Faculty of Medicine was one of the four original faculties at Lund University. 1768 - The university hospital in Lund was established. 1948 - The Malmö General Hospital was affiliated to the Faculty of Medicine. 1998 - Health Sciences were integrated into the Faculty of Medicine. 2001 - The Biomedical Center was established. 2006 - Clinical Research Centre was established.

Centres for research and education Research and education are located in three centres in Lund and Malmö: Biomedical Centre,BMC, in Lund Health Sciences Centre, HSC, in Lund Clinical Research Centre, CRC, in Malmö Education and research also take place at Skåne University Hospital in Lund and Malmö.
