WP4 PROPOSALS Translation of key DDI elements of CESSDA catalogue records to English Obligations of cessda-ERIC members Obligations of cessda-ERIC members - Full Membership : at least minimum study description in English for all new data published in the CESSDA portal - Transition period of six months may be considered if needed of entering full membership - Designate Membership : provide minimum study description within two years

Title b. Abbreviated abstract c. Universe ( at study level) d. Geography (nation, ISO code) e. Time period (date) f. Mode of collection g. CESSDA topics classification

- One third intend to provide full study description in English, equivalent to their local language - One fourth aimed to provide a study description in English with more elements than the minimum -No responses that CESSDA-ERIC would neither recommend nor require minimum study description in English Goal for the minimum English study description -The minimum English study description provides enough information to the searcher to know whether to contact the CESSDA-ERIC member directly for more information or not
