2010 Updates Visual Identity System
2
PREVIOUS GUIDELINES REQUIREMENTS (EST. 2005) No graphic device other than the official Texas Tech coat of arms may be “locked up” or configured with the official logotype to represent an academic entity. In recognition of existing awareness of the Double T as the most visible and recognizable symbol of Texas Tech, the Double T may be included as a secondary symbol on marketing and communications materials.

NEW GUIDELINES To address the multitude of requests for extending the use of the Double T, the guidelines are being broadened. Each unit will now have an official Double T signature, which combines the Double T with Texas Tech University or Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and the unit name. The enhanced visual identity guidelines now give all units the opportunity to tailor their communications based on the type of message and the audience to which they are communicating. The coat of arms will remain a primary academic mark. And, as one of our most beloved and visible symbols, the Double T can now be used more broadly in the identity guidelines.
