Destiny will help Bailey School District reach its Goals
A library automation system that will benefit all of us.
2
Circulation At a glance, we can locate, report and determine the status of every library resource. Student accountability will improve and the district will see a reduction in inventory loss and the associated replacement costs. We can track and report on library inventory by patron, resource, title, building or district.
3
Customization available
Students and parents can receive an reminder of overdue materials. The program will follow students as they move through the school, from Kindergarten to their senior year. Different policies can be customized for each library: Loan periods and possible fines can be individualized for each building’s library. Renewal periods can be set up for each library. The system can inform us if a hold is requested for a particular book for another patron.
4
Cataloging: Adding a Title
Before you add a new title, Destiny requires you search for a title in the database. An existing record will be indicated by a red schoolhouse If there is no existing record listed, you may search Alliance Plus or Z-sources. If you can’t find the record in the database, you may create your own record using the MARC Editor or Easy MARC Editor.
5
Cataloging: Other Features
Add barcodes and call numbers and print labels. Add digital resources such as music, sound effects and lesson plans to each title record. Create temporary titles when you need a quick record for checkout. Good for magazines, student-published items, etc. Weeding log outlines book information, who removed the copy, and a total count of items that were deleted or weeded.

Destiny Report extras Reports can be created for an entire district or by individual school. Reports can be created which include only the information that you want. Detailed reports enable districts to analyze trends and make informed decisions. Reports are easily edited, modified, sorted, and filtered. The information that is pulled can be displayed in HTML, or exported in XML format and imported into a spreadsheet. Reports can be set to run automatically at a certain time each day. For example, if you want your fine/overdue lists every Monday morning, at 8:00, you can set it up to do that.
