Short & Long Term Goals Short Term: Earn numerous scholarships by the time I graduate By June 2010, graduate in the top ten of my class Get a full time job over the summer in order to start saving for college expenses Long Term: By September 2010, attend the University of Michigan Study abroad during either my junior or senior year of college Graduate in 2014 with a Bachelor’s Degree in English and have job offers

How will I pay for college? From U of M – Freshman Year – Michigan Grant - $10,884 – M-Pact Scholarship - $1,000 – Federal PELL Grant - $2,000 – Estimated Federal Academic Comp. Grant - $750 – Federal Work Study - $2,500 – Have also been offered loans Other Scholarships I Have Applied For: o Wells Fargo Scholarships o Metro PCS and ZTE Community Scholars o Wal-Mart Stores, Incorporated Scholarships o West Flint Business Association Scholarships o Rosa Parks Scholarship Foundation o Best Buy Scholarship o Michigan Education Association Scholarship o More to come… I plan on getting a full time job this summer, as well as a part time job during school.
