Mid-term marks They have been uploaded to Ontario universities and colleges – please check your marks this week and visit Guidance should you have concerns Offers of admission are ongoing – aim to keep those marks up! Need academic assistance? Speak with your Guidance counselor

Other courses… Taking ILC (Independent Learning) and/or Private School courses? It is your responsibility to complete the courses by the deadlines required by both ILC/private school and for graduation: these deadlines are well before the end of June It is your responsibility to advise Administration/Guidance of updates regarding these courses

What next? Some students may have already accepted an offer of admission, others are waiting for offers – you have until the end of May Community involvement hours are due in Guidance the first week of June Need hours? Visit neighbourhoodnetwork.org, yorkinfo.ca, or see Guidance

Scholarships, etc. Visit scholarship databases often: scholarshipscanada.com. yconic.com, equals6.com, osca.ca Check with your post-secondary institution online for opportunities Bursaries are based on financial need and you can usually apply later on – check with your college or university

OSAP This is a federal and provincial loan You can apply online: ontario.ca/osap You will be automatically considered for the 30% off tuition, which may work out to $1780 for degree programs $820 for diploma/certificate programs

OSAP You will need to register online and you will be given an OAN number – don’t lose this! Before you apply, you need: - your parent(s)’ income - your social insurance number Apply as soon as you have accepted your offer of admission

OSAP Once you apply print off the signature pages – one for you and one for your parents. Get them signed and mail or submit them to your Financial Aid office There are other steps involved – please check online for details Funding depends on your costs and how much you are expected to contribute

OSAP The funding may be a mixture of loans (repayable) and grants (non-repayable) Student debt is capped at $7,300 for a two-term year Loans are interest-free while you’re in school
