Climbing to New Heights When Baxter PD patients travel, Baxter can arrange to deliver their solutions wherever they happen to be. In one extraordinary case, U.K. patient Tony Ward wanted to draw attention to the benefits of PD by performing the therapy during a three-day climb to the top of Europe’s highest mountain, Mont Blanc. Baxter arranged for his solutions to be delivered by helicopter to mountain huts along the way. A year later, Ward bicycled more than 1,000 miles across Great Britain, this time accompanied by a van carrying his Baxter HOMECHOICE automated PD machine, which he used to perform dialysis overnight.
