Eating on the kibbutz Kibbutznicks (about 300) eat dinner together in a dinning hall Dinner is at a set time Time to “catch up” with neighbors Every adult takes a turn cooking and washing dishes for others in dinning hall Vegetables and fruits come from Kibbutz farm. During holidays/Sabbath there are special fun programs.

Life of Kids on the Kibbutz Kids live on the kibbutz but away from parents. They sleep/go to school in “children’s house” according to age Day: school Evening: spend time with parents and have dinner in dinning hall Late evening: Play outside after dinner Night: Back to children’s house. Parents say goodnight. Sleep 4-6 kids per room. Chaperone Holidays/weekend: Sleep at home with parents

Working Kibbutz usually has farms/factory/ store to make money. Profits each month added up and then divided equally among residents People paid according to need (number of people in family) No rich and poor
