2 Rev:01 Instructions for the person undertaking the induction. –Section 1 is a general introduction to the site and the project –Section 2 covers the rules applicable to all visitors –Section 3 covers the current site risks and should be communicated through the whiteboard. 2

This Health, Safety and Environmental brief is designed to guide Non-working Personnel on the rules, hazards, risks and control measures appropriate to your Visit. The site actives will be highlighted to you during your White Board Briefing and you shall be introduced to your “Site Buddy” 4

5 Rev:015 Your “Site Buddy” will Be (or nominated by) the Responsible Manager / Person in Charge. Consider your Health & Safety during your visit. Escort you to and from your briefing to the work site / area of interest Have knowledge of the safe systems of work operating on the site (i.e emergency details, first aid kits, exclusion zones) SITE BUDDY SYSTEM

18 18 VISITOR RULES Access rules for your site visit – You shall be accompanied at all times by your “Site Buddy”. Be aware of your own safety and that of others. Insure you can always communicate with your “Site Buddy”  Do not distract the work force during your visit, direct your query to your “Site Buddy”  Do not interfere with /or handle any plant Materials or equipment on your Visit. direct your query to your “Site Buddy”  Do not take photos without permission

20 20 VISOTR RULES All H&S and Environmental Accidents and Incidents (close calls) must be reported to your “Site Buddy” no matter how minor All accidents and incidents must be recorded. Rev:01

21 21 VISITOR RULES No mobile phones to be used on site unless in a place of safety. No MP3/Walkmans are allowed to be used on site.

22 Rev:01 -D&A Testing can be undertaken on any site at any time. If you are taking any medication you must inform your “Site Buddy”. Action will be taken if you: TEST POSITIVE for drugs. POSSESS illegal drugs on site. CONSUME alcohol or illegal drugs on site REFUSE to take a drugs or alcohol test. 22 VISITOR RULES

26 Railways are a dangerous place When working on or near the railway line the Controller of Site Safety (COSS) will brief you on the measures that have been put in place to keep you safe from being hit by a train. If unsure ask the COSS. Rev:0126 SITE HAZARDS - TRAINS
