2 VCU Master Site Plan Update Basis and foundation for the Master Site Plan update is the University’s strategic plan – Quest for Distinction Goals –Develop a campus facilities response to Quest for Distinction –Develop both campuses as mature high-quality urban environments for education, research and patient care- an evolving plan that builds on past planning efforts –Integrate VCU and VCU Health System Planning –Assure effective existing space utilization –A unified campus vision for the University –Engage the campus community in a participatory process –Establish consensus principles to guide future development 2
