Rising Cost of Materials Increases in the Price of Polyisocyanurate Johns Manville announced five increases over the past year, raising the price of their polyiso 52% Firestone has announced six increases since September, including more than 8% for January and February of 2005 GAF and Hunter Panels have both announced 8% increases for the first two months of 2005

Rising Cost of Materials Increases in the Price of Membrane Membrane prices rose steadily throughout 2004, a trend that is expected to continue in 2005 Several suppliers have already withdrawn price protection guarantees for some products By late 2004, several companies had already announced price increases for February and April 2005

Materials Shortages Companies have increased their lead times. Some current lead times: GAF 8-12 weeks min Firestone 8-12 weeks min Hunter Panels 8-12 weeks min JM EPDM 4 weeks, TPO 6 weeks In third quarter 2004, Johns Manville temporarily stopped selling their.45 and.60 EPDM membranes because of extreme lead times The problem is so severe that suppliers are phasing out some types of materials to produce more of the most demanded products
