3 Intelligent Mail® barcode testing update: IDEAlliance conducted tests with various permutations ●Apple-to-apple test difficult to achieve ●.125” min height with.028” clearance UFSM performed worse than expected but AFSM better ●UFSM software release expected Feb 2008 Test moved to Merrifield to evaluate reduced clearance spec on MERLIN WG 113 Update

4 Federal Register notice WG 101 on address block location Expect August publication date Address block standardization requirements: ●Font size ●Vertical and horizontal text spacing ●Spacing of City, State, ZIP line ●New OEL options for IM™BC users Consistency between guidelines and specs WG 113 Update

5 Federal Register font size requirement Will reflect printed text size (in inches) and point size equivalent 8 point font size equivalent may cause issues ●Paper labels: May need to reduce number of lines Consider using a larger label ●Business titles typically use more address lines ●Periodicals need line for sponsored copies – ABC requirement WG 113 Update
