2. INTRODUCTION Our goal is to educate and inform the young citizens of the Northwest Arkansas area about the process of recycling and benefits to the environment. With this information, the peers would have a better understanding of why it is important to recycle and how impactful recycling can be in their schools and communities.

CURRICULUM  Recognize the relationships between humans and the environment, particularly the effects of population growth on natural systems.  Identify the geological aspects of waste management and disposal  Intended Goals:  To encourage younger children to start recycling  With their knowledge to continue recycling as they grow older  Take their knowledge and apply it to their school and their homes  Encourage the schools to take up recycling habits.

OUTCOMES:  A PowerPoint presentation will be created to inform about the process of recycling.  A website will provide access to the presentation for young people in a classroom setting.  Brochures will be distributed to public schools and anyone else interested in recycling.  The brochures will provide basic recycling information and a link to the website.
