Project #6 – Essay Class discussion about what students know about slavery. Instructor will fill in the gaps. Students are provided websites to research for homework/independent study. Students will write a two page essay about anything leaned about the topic of slavery.

Expected Student Outcomes Increase knowledge of historical slavery. Acquire awareness and sensitivity to modern slavery. Students can define and classify different forms of slavery and its changing historical context. Utilize a variety of electronic sources: essays, articles, lectures, videos to acquire information on a topic. Locate website agencies committed to the global reduction of modern slavery. Synthesize resources to change their concept of the modern world and form a plan of action to effect it.
