3. What Christ Thought… 3  He regarded the Scriptures as inspired.  From “the mouth of God” (Matthew 4:4)  Every “jot and tittle” (Matthew 5:17–18)  Even the tenses (Luke 20:37–38)  He believed in their plenary and verbal inspiration (I Timothy 3:16; Matthew 10:20; Luke 12:11–12; Mark 13:11).

What Christ Thought… 7  He relied upon the Word in trials.  While tested (Matthew 19:3)  When tempted (Matthew 4:1–11)  In suffering (Hebrews 5:8–9; I Peter 2:19–23)  As He was dying (Matthew 27:39–50; Acts 2:26; Hebrews 2:13)  Jesus completely relied upon the Words of God (John 4:34; 6:38; 19:30).
