The financial challenge is with us for the foreseeable future Population demographics are changing Long term conditions alone consume 70% of the total health and social care spend in England – Currently using 72% of inpatient beds – Taking up 68% of out patient appointments – 55% of GP appointments Public expectations are changing 2
