Information Who - many people live in, usually Muslims, Indians and nomads. What- Deserts are all extremely dry, and can be one of the harshest places on earth. Where- Deserts can be found in 6 continents: Australia, America, Asia, Africa and Antarctica. When- It hardly rains in deserts, they only get 200mm of rainfall each year. How- they were formed then warm air currents meet cold seas.

Information Who- Many animals live near rivers some are crocodiles, alligators, cranes and ducks. Where- Rivers are located all over the world. What- A river is a flowing stream of water flowing out to the sea. When- It sometimes rains near rivers but not all the time. Why- A river is there so it can get fresh water out to the sea. How- They got there by inland lakes and creeks.

Information Who- Climbers, tourists, farmers, animals, water authorities and Forestry companies may live or work near mountains. Where- Mountains are located all over the world, North America, South America, Asia, Antarctica and Europe. What- A mountain is a large landform made by rocks, plants and trees. When- It usually snows in winter near mountains. Why- Mountains are there because of small erosions. How- Mountains were formed over millions of years of years by small erosions.
