Confidential – Not for Distribution Claim Volume & Profile 744 claims processed of which 398 were accepted by WorkSafeNB (265 LT vs. 133 NLT) 44 objections to claims; successful in 54% and 16% still pending a decision 80% of claims are soft tissue injuries where 60% are sprains/strains. Remaining 20% includes Fractures, burns, concussion, etc. $1.3-million in claim costs; 94.5% of all costs are associated with lost time claims, 5.5% results from no lost time claims

Confidential – Not for Distribution Wages An employee on modified duties has to receive full wages (full pay). An employee who is ordered by physiotherapist (PT)to only work reduced hours still get full wages (full pay). Employee not participating as per the schedule (following PT’s recommendation) does not get paid: Contact Morneau Shepell immediately If a worker’s schedule varies (part time, occasional, full time but with occasional overtime, etc) you need to offer the average hours/shifts worked in the 4 weeks prior the work accident.
