Road Safety Issues Cambodian Context Road traffic crashes in Cambodia: 46% of all kinds of recorded injuries in the countries almost 7% towards the causes of physical impairment and disability The total economic loss of road traffic accidents was estimated at 248 million US$ (HIB) in 2009 [116million US$ in 2004]

Every day, more than 4 persons die and many others are injured. Over the last 5 years, the number of fatalities increased almost double.

Approval of the new traffic law and enhanced law enforcement Creation of the National Road Safety Committee with better functioned with national policies, strategies and action plans HIB has been seen as a leading agency in RS field,
