2 Introduce Leymah Gbowee
Role/job: A Liberian peace activist. Family: parents, 3 sisters, 3 children (Joshua, Arthur, Amber) Born: 1 February 1972 Religion: Christian (Lutheranism) Country: Liberia

3 Her life She helped to finish the second Liberian civil war in 2003.
She helped women to get power so that they can have equality in life with a man. she became the first female president in Africa. She was awarded the Nobel peace prize.

4 Background/Issue The first Liberian civil war broke out in 1989 and lasted until Lots of men were dragged out in the war and 20 thousand people were killed.

5 The second Liberian civil war began in 1999 and ended in 2003
The second Liberian civil war began in 1999 and ended in Eventually, through this war, more than 250 thousand people died and nearly 1 million people became victims.

6 How she involve in the issue?
She trained about Trauma Healing and Reconciliation Program(THRP) that help for people who have trauma by a war. She felt other’s pain and sorrow, then she decided to change the world.

7 How she solve this problem?
Leymah Gbowee met the President in Liberia, Charles Taylor directly, and she forced him to try to make a peace. Charles Taylor

8 she insisted that refuse sex with husband who was join in civil war, to make them abandon weapons.
She led a demonstration. Lots of women supposed it and wearing white T-shirts, every day.

9 These affects brought peace to people
When there was a civil war negotiation in Ghana, she led the Liberian women and pushed on attendee until they negotiated.

In the beginning, she is strong, because, she fights at the risk of her whole life and she did not give up anytime. Physical or mentally powerful

Next, she is chastity, because when the Women was sexually assault, she insisted 'Sex strike’ to protect women’s own body.

Last her virtue, is love. She was caring about women, because they were distanced. so she protested to government for women’s rights. to have a strong liking for something caring about others
