3 PROJECT STAKEHOLDERS/TARGET GROUP/BENEFICIARIES  PROJECT TARGET GROUPS: Staff of the ASHMA; about 25 from EHSU: MoH, MA Management, MWD/MWST, Town Planning, etc CBOs/NGOs/Civil Society Groups including Assembly Members and opinion leaders Private Entrepreneur National Sector Agencies

4 PROJECT STAKEHOLDERS/TARGET GROUP/BENEFICIARIES  PROJECT STAKEHOLDERS: AWF/AfDB: Funding of infrastructure NWP Partner: Funding of learning and documentation TREND/TPP Project: Recipient and project management including procurement ASHMA: Project Ownership, Funding both cash and kind, implementation monitoring and facilitation, oversight of facility management MoFA: Facilitate re-use of treated waste for urban agriculture Local Private Sector: Facility management CSO/CBO/NGO: Service provision and monitoring Householders/user: monitoring and user fees

5 PROJECT STAKEHOLDERS/TARGET GROUP/BENEFICIARIES  CAPACITY BUILDING: Capacity building is key and will aim at ensuring adequate local financial and setup for sustainable WASH delivery to the poor

7 7 FACILITATING WASH SECTOR LEARNING THROUGH KNOWLEDGE SHARING  LA Platform seeks to ensure that : Active community participation All relevant stakeholders of the project are working together Lesson from the development process are captured and shared on regular basis  Some key questions for consideration for this project Who should be part of this platform on WASH? How often should the DLLA be held? Most appropriate days of the week for the meeting Duration of the meeting (half day or full day) Who will facilitate the platform?

8 8 PROJECT STEERING  The Steering should be hosted by the MA  Proposal for membership: 10 - 12 MCE – Chairperson TPP Task Officer of MA MA representative Rep. from traditional authority/opinion leaders Sanitation Directorate – MLGRD GWCL/AVRL Heads of relevant Units/Department at MA Level TREND  Regularity of meetings Quarterly or ….?
