Cook Islands DRM Progress 2010 - 12 Emergency Management Cook Islands (EMCI) and Climate Change –Climate Change for Disaster Reduction merger with EMCI under the Prime Minister Office. –A Joint National Action Plan for Disaster Response Management & Climate Change. –Ongoing Development of a Joint National Policy & Legislation for Disaster Management & Climate Change Disaster Emergency Trust fund appropriation by Cabinet approved in May 2011 –Total of $NZ 264,000 for Enabling immediate response to disasters.
