12. Storage Storage Calculation  The calculation of storage requirements and the type and cost of storage are important factors when considering a TCA implementation. A typical installation will, depending on recording quality and retention periods, involve many terabytes of storage. We can provide a basic calculation spreadsheet to help with this.  TANDBERG will work with major storage vendors to test for compatibility. Further information on this will be available throughout 2009.  TANDBERG is in discussion with a few major storage vendors to provide a full service of recording and archiving as a bundled package. We will update you as any information becomes available.

Change in Network Traffic Flow  Installing a TCA into a customer’s network means that network traffic flows will be changed – recording a point-to-point call means that the call has to go through a TCA and this will concentrate the network traffic – so network design has to be analysed – see call flow illustration below
