1 Introducing the OfficeServ-500 System

2 2 Designed and built by Samsung with the same ingenuity as in their world respected cell phone designs.  Connect to your corporate office over the internet/intranet with a phone that has the same lights, buttons and features as the one on your desk.  50+ branch locations each with 500+ phone users can connect back to a corporate centralized operator or voicemail system.  Managers can view real time data showing all calls made in and out, from who and to whom, including average times on hold for all call groups, all done remotely across the internet/intranet.  A cordless phone(Samsung designed) can connect through wireless ethernet and handshake over multiple access points over large areas.  Remote system programming for all functions of this system can be done across the internet/intranet.

13 13 Unique networking possibilities  Ability to operate under two networks (Private & Public)  NAT router with support for multiple reservations required for Private & Public support  Whenever traversing between Private and Public, MGI channels must be used.  Ability to receive VoIP trunk calls from the Private network and/or public network.  Ability to operate under two networks (Private & Public)  NAT router with support for multiple reservations required for Private & Public support  Whenever traversing between Private and Public, MGI channels must be used.  Ability to receive VoIP trunk calls from the Private network and/or public network.

14 14 The MCP 2 and MGI cards support both private IP address and public IP address. A static public address will be required for the MCP 2 card and one static public address for every MGI card that needs to be exposed to the public network. In the case where a public ITP is in conversation with a TDM keyset, then a single codec will be used. In the case where a public ITP is in conversation with a private ITP, then two codecs will be used. The MCP 2 and MGI cards support both private IP address and public IP address. 36 36   MGI and MCP2 Card Relationships   Theory of Operation   MGI and MCP2 Card Relationships   Theory of Operation When an IP call is directed to the OfficeServ-500 system the MCP2 card performs the call control and setup to the remote IP endpoint. This endpoint can be a legacy Samsung SMG series H.323 gateway, a Samsung ITM series card or another manufacturer standards based VoIP gateway. Once the MCP2 negotiates the setup a determination is made if the IP call is intended to be received by another IP device on the IP side or a TDM port(regular Samsung keyset) on the circuit switched side of the iDCS 500 R2. When the request is for a circuit switched side connection, the MCP2 controls the MGI card and sets up a channel for the IP call to use a codec on the MGI as a gateway to the circuit switched environment. The MGI supports the voice codec to the trunks or stations inside the iDCS 500 R2 system. 38 38 Private/Public LAN/WAN: What must be configured in the Release 2 system to identify Private VoIP trunk calls from Public VoIP trunk calls? In this setup where the iDCS 500 Release 2 system is operating in both Private and Public, the MCP 2 and MGI will each need a dedicated static IP address. A NAT router will need to be configured to do IP to IP translations.
