What is "the internet"? The Internet = a network of computer networks technically, it is a bunch of wires, servers, routers, etc. "The Web" ≠ "The Internet" The World Wide Web is just one of many services that use the internet.

How do I create my own domain name? Do it yourself 1. buy a server 2. obtain an IP address 3. register your name and address with ICANN internet corporation for assigned names and numbers OR Contract with a "Server Farm" 1. google "domain hosting" to find a provider 2. pay a small monthly fee
