Agriculture and Farming Yes, our state would be good for agriculture and farming. It would be good for agriculture and farming because our state is part of the plains states, and since it’s part of the plain states, there would be plenty of room for crops and other farming jobs. For example, there would be plenty of room for livestock.

History Statehood: January 4 th 1896, 45 th state. Historical fact number 1: In 1847, Mormron pioneers arrived in Salt Lake City. Historical fact number 2: In 1848 the seagulls saved the crops in Utah by eating the bug, Mormron crickets. So then Salt Lake City honors the seagull. Historical fact number 3: The women of Utah finally won the right to vote in 1870.

Collages/ Universities and places to visit Two collages in Utah are: 1)Utah state university is in the city Logan. 2)Dixie state collage of Utah is in the city St. George. Places to visit: 1)The Beehive state house is in Salt Lake City Utah. This two story house was built in the 1850s. 2)The dinosaur monument. In this place, you can see all of the dinosaur bones and skeletons.

Additional facts In 1824, Trapper Jim Bridger reported seeing The Great Salt Lake. By the end of 1847 some of 5,000 pioneers settled in Salt Lake Valley. A white settler killed a relative of Chief Walkara in 1853. Jell-O became Utah's state snack in 2001. Salt Lake City lead the 2002 Olympic Games.
