Are there any audio sources to capture simultaneously? Use omnidirectional. Do the microphones need to be unseen? Use lavalier.

Video Procedures Technical Preparation Additional Equipment Considerations o Tripod needed? o Dolly needed? – Will the camera need to roll along the floor? o Batteries needed? – types and how many? o Power cable/charger for cameras? – is the shoot very long? o A/V cables? – BNC, RCA, XLR, Mini? o Extension cords? Talent release forms

Video Procedures Producing: Record video o Use a tripod as often as possible o Make sure there is adequate light – adjust iris, add gain as needed o White balance camera o Focus by zooming all the way into your subject, focus, then zoom back out o Use proper composition techniques (rule of thirds…) o Check audio levels – adjust as necessary o Begin recording and cue the talent

Video Procedures Producing Edit audio o Import video into software program o Import any additional files as needed o Cut, splice, trim, edit and assemble as necessary o Add effects (only if they do not detract from the message) o Add background music o Adjust each track’s level as needed o Save
