Situation - 2001 high speed network (CESNET2) built needed to be filled it up lot content available in the real world / almost none in digital form

Situation – 2001 ctd. no personal power for producing no know-how for producing no money for producing low money for “marketing”

Decision make communities able to produce A/V content have to look for communities motivate them for producing content

Areas addressed IT students at universities (lectures) doctors independent producents of “science films” open source software (Linux)

Finding communities web pages searching direct search in core research team visiting events (as participant)

Motivation of communities visible partnership listen carefully to their needs offer to solve some of their problems (like loaning equipment) know-how transfer

Challenges community must be motivated to do active participation cooperation must be proposed as long run be careful of their “native language”

Current situation ~90% content produced by communities some members (universities) started it’s own video production project Well – it looks like success

Situation - 2003 CESNET2 – IPv6 backbone in pre- production state no peering partners IPv6 adoption in CZ poor

Areas addressed other ISPs in CZ (30+ organizations) wide Internet community

Decision provide seminar for technical persons from ISPs use local peering center for invitation live streaming of seminar Video on demand

Result 90+ persons on seminar 50+ live streams 250+ VoD sessions 8 ISPs have IPv6 running
