4.  Most maintenance crews are organized in one of three ways:  Central Organization – one person, the general supervisor, is responsible for all.  Area Organization – only work in assigned areas. Most specialized  Departmental Organization – only work in certain departments. May not be as specialized as an area organization.  May be a hierarchy of all three

5.  Maintenance workers must be flexible with their schedules because breakdowns can not be determined in advance.  Most work will be in a team or partner setting so coordinating with others is crucial.  The challenge is that the daily routine is rarely the same.  Ex. 40 hr/week guy at Dakota Tube deburring tube all day.
