What is Breast Cancer? Breast Cancer forms in the breast It is a tumor in the breast Breast cancer is the most common malignancies in women in the US It can occur in both men and women but it is rare for men to be diagnosed

Different Types of Breast Cancer Ductal Carcinoma Lobular Carcinoma Invasive Breast Cancer

Ductal Carcinoma Found in the lining of the milk ducts Have not spread through the duct walls into the surrounding breast tissue If not treated, will spread and become Invasive Cancer

Lobular Carcinoma Starts in the gland that produces milk Most likely not detected in regular screening or mammograms It is rarely spreads to other parts of the body 1 in 4 women will develop invasive breast cancer that spreads throughout the body

Invasive Breast Cancer Cancer cells will grow in the duct lining Break through the duct wall Invade breast tissue May metastasize throughout the body
