TEVET: Fighting Poverty through Employment Tevet is an Israeli non-profit partnership between JDC and the Israeli Ministry of Industry Trade and Employment. Created in 2005 to help 750,000 chronically unemployed Israelis enter the workforce. Target Populations: Immigrants, Disabled, Minorities, Young Adults Without Support, Jewish Ultra Orthodox.

Examples Ms. Kitie Spearer: Age 35. Returned to Israel from France after 7.5 years. Learned perfumery and aromatherapy. Idea: Produce perfume with Israeli products and orientation to Jewish philosophy. Boaz Berney: Age 32, returned to Israel after 10 years in Holland where he learned ancient music and flute building. Idea: Flute production workshop and music lessons. Exports wooden flutes to US, Europe and Japan.
