Instructional Design… Professional Learning Communities (PLCs): all 9 th grade English teachers meet at least once a week to discuss lesson ideas, write tests/quizzes, problem-solve, and talk philosophically about the essential knowledge of each unit. We integrate the CCR Standards as we design instruction and assessment. Values we hope to instill in our students: Academic honesty Personal responsibility & academic independence Effective collaboration Problem solving skills
