Instructional Design…  Professional Learning Communities (PLCs): all 9 th grade English teachers meet at least once a week to discuss lesson ideas, write tests/quizzes, problem-solve, and talk philosophically about the essential knowledge of each unit. We integrate the CCR Standards as we design instruction and assessment.  Values we hope to instill in our students:  Academic honesty  Personal responsibility & academic independence  Effective collaboration  Problem solving skills
