Studied religious works as a child, reflects in her writing. All of her older siblings has successful literary careers. That’s what she wanted to do from a young age, as well. Most successful, and well known female poet of her time. Mostly because of her “ Goblin Market and Other Poems” poems collection. The year of 1848, she made her public debut when two of her poems, "Death’s Chill Between” and “Heart’s Chill Between," appeared in a popular magazine. This first began Rossetti’s success. Never married, pushed away love. Reflects in her writing.

The Speaker! The poems speaker, is most likely talking about something they feels very passionate about. Based off of prior information on slide 2, I feel that the “love” that has come to her is some sort of religious being. I can conclude that the speaker of the poem is the author, because it has very many strong feelings, as well as religious ties. The author of the poem was very religiously involved, so this could reflect that the author is the speaker in that way.
8
Structure + Form In this poem, the form is a ballad because it portrays the feelings of the speaker. This poem has 2 stanzas, 16 lines, and a rhyme scheme. I believe that it is organized this way to break up the way she feels, and describe how she feels.
9
“Literally Bruh? No, Figuratively.”
The figurative meaning of this poem, is the narrator speaking about how happy her heart is, and describing how happy and in love she is. The literal meaning of this poem, is the narrator comparing her heart to many different things, and then describing her love.

Author’s Purpose & Theme
I believe the author’s purpose of writing this poem, is to show how happy she is as well as how passionate she is about her “love” or topic. I believe the theme of this poem is that, the thing you are most passionate about should make you the happiest.
