Meet My Favorite Actor Benicio Del Toro Birth Name: Benicio Monserrate Rafael Del Toro Sanchez Born in Puerto Rico on February 19, 1967, Benicio is the son of parents Gustavo and Fausta Sanchez Del Toro. With an interest in acting, A class in acting resulted in his being bitten by the acting bug, and he began studying with legendary acting teacher Stella Adler in Los Angeles and New York. During the 1980s, he made a few appearances in “Miami Vice” and NBC’s “Drug Wars: The Camerena Story.” Del Toro’s big screen started off slow, however, his first role was “Duke the dog faced boy” in “Big Top Pee Wee” in 1988. Then he landed the role of Dario, the vicious henchman in the James Bond film “License to Kill” in 1989 and many more.

The film takes place in the 1800s in a town of England, Lawrence Talbot ( Benicio Del Toro) returns to England after witnessing his mothers suicide when he was a child. He finds out that his brother Ben Talbot (Simon Merrels), has been murdered by some sort of beast and is going to investigate. He is reunited with his father John Talbot ( Anthony Hopkins). During the attack of a vicious creature, Lawrence is attacked and now he changes into a werewolf every night on a full moon.

The reason I think “The Wolfman” should be nominated for an academy award is that it has great effects and animation that the crew was inspired to make the original Wolman( back in 1941) into a more scarier figure. It showed good costumes and makeup that showed what time the movie took place especially how they made the werewolf costume for Benicio. It is a chiller for everyone who loves monster movies and old classics.
