8. Florida Writes+ Students in 4 th, 8 th and 10 th grades will take the essay portion of the FCAT. Writing practice is done once per nine weeks. Writing (like all FCAT testing) will be done in a testing class to help familiarize students with their testing environment.

9. Science FCAT Students will be tested on science concepts. The scores will be monitored and students’ progress will be tracked.
