2 Formed in 1993 by the state legislature at the request of petroleum industry The purpose of the Board is to coordinate a program designed to demonstrate to the general public the importance of the Oklahoma oil and natural gas exploration and production industry, to encourage the wise and efficient use of energy,... and to cause remediation of historical oilfield environmental problems OERB

7 Petro Pro classroom presentations –Oil and gas professionals visit classrooms to show science/business sides of the industry 388 presentations this school year, reaching 10,491 students 5,119 presentations to date, reaching 142,485 students Petro Pros

8 Established in 1996 to teach kids about the dangers of oil & natural gas equipment What’s The Risk? Video: the risks of skateboarding vs. hanging around well sites Free safety-related materials (posters and pocket folders) for classrooms Radio and TV PSAs Annual “What’s The Risk?” poster contest Wellsite Safety Day – State holiday in April honoring education program Well Site Safety Program
