2 The mission of Harbor-UCLA Medical Center is to provide high quality, cost-effective, patient-centered care through leadership in medical practice, education, and research. Services are provided through an integrated health care delivery system to residents of Los Angeles County regardless of ability to pay.

9 Leading independent, nonprofit biomedical research institute Research partnership with Harbor-UCLA since 1952 950 employees; 700 on the Harbor Campus Partnership has generated novel diagnostic tests, vaccines, pharmaceuticals, and delivery system innovations Provides community services, including childhood immunization and nutritional assistance Participates in training of MD and PhD scientists Affiliated with the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA Los Angeles Biomedical Research Institute (LA BioMed)
