3. The Baldwin County Community Alliance is sponsoring an underage drinking and prescription drug use prevention campaign, and they need your help. Submit your creative idea for a commercial encouraging middle and high school students not to drink alcoholic beverages or misuse prescription drugs. Focus should be on the dangers and negative effects when youth have easy access to and availability of alcohol and prescription drugs. (Cont.)

4. If your idea wins, they will produce the commercial and you can be in it! The overall winner will be selected out of the winning entries from the schools and his/her commercial will be produced and air on FOX10TV and WFNA. See Mrs. Beverly, School Social Worker, in the front office for entry forms. The contest ends December 12th.

5. JOOI Club will meet after school on Monday, December 8, in room 507 for all current and interested members.

6. There will be an Interact meeting today immediately after school in Mrs. Styron's room 803. Please wear an Interact shirt. You will take your group picture at the meeting.

7. Attention Foley High School: Have you ever wanted to test your skills on the stage? That time has come! Auditions for the Foley Theatre Company's Spring Production of "9 to 5: The Musical" are just around the corner. Attend an informational meeting after school today in Ms. Andersen's Room, Room 402.

8. Attention all seniors, especially those graduating in a few weeks. If you would like to purchase your prom tickets early and at their lowest rate, please see Mrs. Champion in room 406 this week. Tickets are $15 this week and $20 next week. In the spring, they will begin at $20. See Mrs. Champion ASAP to take care of this early!

9. Mrs. Terri Smith is in need of volunteers to work the children’s craft area at Let it Snow on Saturday after the parade. Volunteers can sign up in her room, room 706.

10. Attention all Foley Theatre Company Members: Ms. Andersen has available seats for the Nutcracker Field Trip on December 11th. See her to pay and pick up permission forms.

11. Juniors and seniors, if you are interested in the First Science Academy at the South Baldwin Center for Technology, please see your counselor by Friday. Courses are available 2 nd term during the morning sessions and the afternoon session. You should have at least a 2.o9 GPA an really want to pursue this program as a career as it will follow the Alabama Fire Science curriculum which is rigorous, yet very rewarding.

12. A 24-hour course in first aid is required prior to the course beginning in January. The 24-hour course will be taught after school and possibly on the weekend to get the required curriculum covered. If you are interested in applying to this program, please see your counselor today — January will be too late.

13. Attention Seniors, do you want to leave your mark on Foley High School? Now is your first opportunity to purchase your Senior Handprint. Handprints will be sold again at the end of the year; however, Ms. Andersen wanted to give an opportunity for early exit Seniors (and any other interested Seniors) to purchase yours NOW. Handprints will be scheduled in May and are completed in the order purchased. Grab your friends and see Ms. Andersen in Room 402 TODAY! Cost is only $5!

14. It’s time for the annual senior vs. junior powder puff game. The game will be December 11th at 6 pm at Ivan Jones Stadium. Tickets are $5 and all proceeds benefit the Jesus Cares program.

15. Attention senior and junior girls who signed up to play powderpuff: you need to go by Mrs. K.’s room – room 207 – and pay for your powderpuff shirt. The cost is $15 and you must pay for your shirt before you can pick it up. Any senior or junior guy interested in cheering at this year’s powder puff game needs to meet in Mrs. K.’s room – room 207 – Friday after school.
