ABSTRACT According to NIST SP 800-45: “ Mail servers are often the most targeted and attacked servers on an organization’s network second only to Web servers.” NIST SP 800-45 recommends: “Organizations should consider the implementation of encryption technologies to protect user authentication and mail data.”
