Risk Factors Age 1. chance increases as you age 2. 80% found in women over 50 Menstrual Period 1. menstruation before the age of 12 2. late menopause Family History 1. close blood relatives with disease = higher risk 2. having a mother, sister, etc. with disease = doubles risk

Although breast cancer cannot be prevented, following these steps may help in early detection of this disease. We must also encourage other women to do so as well.
