3 Discovery Education ThinkLink Assessment Discovery Educations ThinkLink offers benchmark assessments that are aligned to the TN curriculum. given up to 3 times a year. ThinkLink Assessment reports identify student strengths and weaknesses by skill and sub-skill. This allows teachers to focus instruction around areas of need instead of teaching skills in which students are already proficient.

5 How does Benchmark Assessment work? 3 Tests Per Year –September, December and February (or Fall, Winter, Spring) 30 – 35 minutes approximate time Immediate Results Reports, Resources and Item Bank are Available on the Web

6 Available Reports Class Summary Report Student Report Objective and Sub-skill Analysis Report Answers Report Comparison Report Individual Student Report Administrative: School and District Report Disaggregated Report (NCLB Subgroup)

7 Color Coded Reporting Categories: Red Red = No proficiency Yellow Yellow = Below Proficient Green Green = Proficient Skills

8 After P Test Instructional Focus: on strand with least amount of green. Skills

9 After 3rd Test (1 month before TCAP) Instructional Focus: on strand with greatest amount of yellow. (Best chance of moving students to proficient.) Skills

10 Red: Major skill problems Yellow: Just in time intervention Green: Mastery Categories customized to your states standards

11 Objectives & Subskill Report Green items: right for 2/3 of class; Yellow: right for 1/2 of class; Red: right for 1/3 of class; Focus on Easy and Moderate that are red and yellow for proficiency. State Core Content Reporting Categories with bullet numbers and subskill descriptors
