Pick two: Artists Musicians Writers Actors

You have chosen two fields. For each:
Choose an artist or writer or musician or actor. Research information about the artist. Use Wikipedia as a start but you must use two non-Wikipedia websites

Collect information and put into a Word Document:
Name Medium Style (genre) Birthplace Where they live in Canada URL’s you used (with the date you accessed them) Save one example of their artwork, writing or example of acting to your folder (do not embed it into the Word Document)

Your opinion Chose one piece of work. If art describe the art piece, if music describe the music etc. Explain how the artist has used one or more of the seven influences on Canadian identity Write how you think the artist has reflected Canada or showed being Canadian in their artwork. If you don’t think they have done this, write why you don’t think they did. Either way…. Give examples to back up your opinion. See Rubric

Stereotypes: are a single statement or attitude about a group of people that does not recognize the complex, multidimensional nature of human beings can be either positive or negative, but they are all unfair and misleading. Stereotypes reduce individuals to a rigid, inflexible image; without unique attributes. suggest that people or groups of people are the same, when, in fact, they are quite different.
