3 Curriculum Goals We are using the Montessori Philosophy of Education along with Common Core State Standards and Louisiana Grade Level Expectations in our lesson planning. In almost all cases, the Montessori scope and sequence exceeds the other standards. The 4/5 team has addressed the other areas and has taken steps to supplement instruction with additional resources. PARCC Assessment – Beginning in March, students will be taking the PARCC Assessment for ELA and Math and LEAP/i-LEAP for Science and Social Studies. Format for test corrections. Write your name, test name (i.e. Chapter 1 Math Test), and the date as the heading on loose leaf paper. Copy the problem as it appears on the test, and labels it with the problem number from the test. Redo the problem, showing ALL of the steps, and draw a box around your new answer. Write at least 1 sentence explaining why you missed the original problem. “I didn’t know how to do it.” is NOT an acceptable explanation. Be specific, and use math or science vocabulary. Check your work and make sure it is correct. Credit will only be given for correct answers. Staple the paper(s) with your corrections to the front of your test and submit. After receiving a graded test, you will have up to three days to complete the test corrections and resubmit.
