Our Prayer: Draw your Church together, O Lord, into one great company of disciples, together following our Lord Jesus Christ into every walk of life, together serving him in his mission to the world, and together witnessing to his love on every continent and island. We ask this in his name and for his sake. Amen. (BAS p.676) 8

a definition A fresh expression is a form of church for our changing culture established primarily for the benefit of people who are not yet members of any church. It will come into being through principles of listening, service, incarnational mission and making disciples. It will have the potential to become a mature expression of church shaped by the Gospel and the enduring marks of the church within and for its cultural context. 25

Jesus, you invite us to follow you. Walking in your footsteps will take us to new places, will introduce us to new people, will sometimes make us uncomfortable... will lead us to life in all its fullness. Help us, Lord, to follow where you lead us, to join in with what you are already doing in our world, and to become more like you. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen. 35
