PARENTS’ MARITAL STATUS A higher percentage of MVNU than other religious college freshmen reported both parents alive and living with each other (78% vs. 62%). Correspondingly, a lower percentage of MVNU than other religious college freshmen reported that both parents were alive and divorced or living apart (19% vs. 33%). Similar percentages of parents were deceased (3% MVNU vs. 5% other religious colleges).
