3 Causes They are not caused by MOs They are transmitted through your genes, only in some cases They also are caused by bad habits in life

4 What is a Cardiovascular Disease? Diseases related with the circulatory system. Most common: - Aneurysm - Cholesterol - Heart attack - Prinzmetal´s angina

5 Aneurysm It´s located in the arteries. It´s caused by a degeneration of a vascular wall. There are different types, such as, true or false aneurysm, cerebral aneurysm or fusiform aneurysm.

6 Symptoms and Treatment Not ruptured aneurysm: Fatigue Loss of perception Loss of balance Speech problems Double vision Ruptured aneurysm: Several headaches Loss of vision Double vision Neck pain and/or stiffness Pain above and/or behind the eyes In both cases is necessary surgical intervention or endovascular therapy.

7 Cholesterol It´s a lipid located in the body tissue It can be good cholesterol or bad cholesterol It´s caused by bad habits in alimentation and the lack of exercise

9 Heart attack It is due to an obstruction in a coronary artery It is the principal cause of death The main principal causes are obesity, smoking, alcoholism and stress

10 Symptoms and treatment Symptoms Weakness Fatigue Respiratory difficulty Pain in shoulders and arms Treatment Immediate cares Surgery In extreme cases heart transplant

11 Prinzmetal´s angina It is less common It is due to a narrowing of the coronary arteries The causes are the consume of cocaine, alcohol and the smoking

12 Symptoms and Treatment Symptoms Chest pain They usually occur between the midnight and the 8 am Treatment Nitrates Calcium channel blockers

13 Prevention Eat less fatty food Eat less fatty food Don´t smoke Don´t smoke Loss weight Loss weight Do exercise Do exercise Don´t use so much salt Don´t use so much salt
