Coaxial Cable also referred as coax, contains a center conductor made of copper that’s surround by a plastic jacket, with a braided shield over it. requires Male and Female BNC (Bayonet Neill–Concelman) connectors. Typically used in cable television, cable modems.
3
Twisted-Pair Cable consists of eight individually insulated wires that are twisted together in pairs. Sometimes a metallic shield is placed around them, called as Shielded Twisted-Pair (STP). Cable without outer shielding is called Unshielded Twisted-Pair (UTP). Example: CAT 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 5e, 6. Requires RJ-45 connectors.
4
Fiber Optic Cable transmits digital signals using light impulses rather than electricity. allows light impulses to be carried on either a glass or a plastic core. Single-mode fiber (SMF) and Multi-mode fiber (MMF) are its types. Requires ST (Straight Tip) or SC (Subscriber Connector) as connectors.
